Changes Happen and So Does Life

Updated: Sep 15, 2019

I haven’t blogged for a while. If you will indulge me for a few paragraphs, my personal side is just bursting to share.

For the past two years Lynn and I have lived and enjoyed our life in The Villages, FL. We found that we fit in well being around similar aged and minded people. The area in and around The Villages provided amply.

In order to get a sense of the area before we bought our home we rented. And, I strongly recommend to anyone moving into a new area to rent before purchasing. It’s a pain to move twice, but the hands-on insight gained about the community cannot be purchased.

Then this August we did it! We purchased a home. And, that, of course, triggered the task of packing up, moving, unpacking and settling in a new space. Change happened in an enormous way. But, this is the type of change was initiated. So, what followed, although rough on this ageing body, the move was anticipated, expected, and eagerly accomplished.

Not all changes do we initiate. Some are forced upon us by external circumstances. For instance, just after we had purchased and moved, Mother Nature teased us for days with Hurricane Dorian. Shift attention as hurricane prep became our number one focus.

Needless to say, the past month has been an exercise in surrender to what’s happening in the moment.

The location and views maybe different in the new home and the kitchen hand towel may not hang where it’s supposed to hang, but routine is slowly making its way back into our lives. Which means that my self-imposed hiatus from Authentic Ageing is now over, and I’m happy about that.

With that said, here’s the Fall - Winter Intro Workshop Schedule:
